I-70 in western Colorado, which looks a lot like Utah. Colorado hadn't been a major stopping point on the itinerary because of its unpredictable spring weather, so, unfortunately, this section will be short. Maybe another time, Colorado.

Vail Pass, elevation 10,662 ft. Colorado boasts a collection of some of the highest mountain ranges in the Lower 48, and not even the interstates can avoid having to climb into the higher elevations to get past them.
